AZ Hotshots - Captain brings home the championship at the 2017 USSSA The Patriot 16u.
The team played very well together during their first tournament of the year. Team defense was excellent as the players showed lots of consistency, versatility & speed. Pitchers (Morgan Greene, Vanessa Hunt & Jade Ng) all contributed on the mound. Team offense generated lots of runs and base running was outstanding. Morgan Greene (Pitcher) came in as a reliever during the championship game and shut down Firecrackers - Munoz as the team eventually grabbed the lead for good.
AZ Hotshots 14u - Captain travels to So Cal to participate in Premier Girls Fastpitch (PGF) Nationals
The team had a great time competing in So Cal in the 14u Platinum division. The competition was fierce and the team did well by having an opportunity to win every game they competed in.
AZ Hotshots 16u - Captain rebuild roster with 9 new addition for the 2020/2021 season
Nine players aged out so our team had many holes to fill. The team had the opportunity to evaluate many prospects, including 12 pitchers to fill the slots and we are excited to add the following players. Jesamin Aguilar (2023 - SS, 2B), Olivia Mazzacano (2022 - SS, 2B), Tayler McCombs (2024 - OF, P, 2B), Jordan McMahon (2024 - OF), Kailyn Montoya (2024 - P, 1B), Madison Mueling (2023 - C, Utility), Cailynn Parsons (2023 - 3B, 1B), Joselyn Sagote (2024 - P, 1B), Cwen Wilson (2023 - Utility). We are looking forward to another exciting year.
AZ Hotshots 16u - Captain has a solid showing at TCS Fireworks - June 30, 2018
The team was in the supplemental power pool and faced some great competition. The team logged victories against Team CT, Chicago Cheetahs, LA Blazers Elite, NC Challengers, EC Bullets and a very exciting comeback victory over Explosion. AZ Hotshots 16u - Captain receives a berth to the TCS Fireworks POwtake 1st at Who's Got Game - 18u Elite bracket
The team struggled to score runs during Pool Play as we were unable to come up with key hits. As a lower seed the team faced top seed Sidewinders 18u and came away with a 5-1 victory to start the day. Then the team came out on top in a thriller against Hotshots - Day as they managed to keep their opponents from scoring with bases loaded and one out in extra innings then to score 7 runs to put the game away. In the championship against Desert Thunder - Woolridge the team had the opportunity to avenge a 2-4 loss in pool play. The team came out hot offensively generating 14 hits and 12 runs in the first two innings to win the championship. During bracket play the team outscored their opponents 25-2. It was a day that also included steady team defense and incredible pitching by Joslyn Sagote!

AZ Hotshots - Captain moves up to 16u and adds key players for upcoming season.
On August 5th the team held a try-out and had a great turn out. After evaluating over 40 players we added Hannah DiFabio, Bailee Cordova, Vanessa Hunt, Taylor Meyers, Morgan Greene, Lauren Klimkowski and Keeley Yeager to our 2017-2018 roster. After a follow up try-out the team added Jade Ng and Alexia Boring to the roster. We are excited to have these new young ladies on the team.
AZ Hotshots 16u - Captain places 17th in the 2019 TCS Fireworks Power Pool.
The team expected strong competition and this event did not disappoint. We faced some of the top teams in the country including Select Fast Pitch, Tampa Mustangs, West Bay Warriors, Glory Adkins, Aces Ashley, So Cal Breakers, OC Tigers and Vision. AZ Hotshots 14u - Captain places 15th at 2017 TC/USA Nationals in Austin, TX
The team traveled to Austin, TX to compete against some of the top teams in the nation. The team finished with a 4-4 record, placed 15th and had some impressive victories including a tight 2-0 win over Texas Dirt Divas.
AZ Hotshots 16u - Captain finishes 9th at USA Preps Summer Nationals - July 22, 2018
The team traveled to Palmdale, CA for their final event of the season. They had victories over SoCal Synergy, Firecrackers IV Steiner, SoCal Outlaws and Bownet Peek Menefee. AZ Hotshots 16u - Captain finishes 12th in the TCS / USA Elite Nationals - July 11, 2018
The team traveled to Atlanta, Georgia to face some of the top teams in the nation. The team logged victories against Lady Lighting Gold Elite, So Cal 3D, Atlanta Vipers and Vision Gold. The team battled but came up short against the likes of other nationally ranked teams such as Premier Fast Pitch, Tampa Mustangs, Firecrackers Sewell and So Cal Choppers Ziese. AZ Hotshots 16u - Captain replenishes their 2019/2020 roster with a talented group players.
The team had 9 players age out to the 18u division. Fortunately we had lots of interest and we were able to add some very talented players including Adriana Coira (2022 Middle Infielder), Cassidy Morrow (2021- 3B, P), Riley Nielson (2022 - P, 3B, 1B), Alexi Olayo (2022 - OF), Emily Rodriguez (2021 - C, 1B), Elliot Smith (2022 - OF, 1B, C), Sara Van Wickler (2022 - OF, 2B) & Skyler Williams (2023 - C, 3B). We look forward to another successful 2019/2020 season. We appreciate all of the players who came out to our open practices/try outs and wish all to have a great season.
AZ Hotshots 16u - Captain finishes ranked 39th for 2017 / 2018 season.

AZ Hotshots 16u - Captain receives berth to the 2020 TCS 16u Fireworks Power Pool
The team is the only 16 team in AZ to be invited to play in the 2020 TCS Fireworks Power Pool tournament this summer! This will provide our players with the opportunity to play against the best competition in the nation and play on the best fields so they can be seen by college coaches.
AZ Hotshots 16u - Captain goes 8 - 0 to win the 2019 USSSA 16u West Coast Nationals.
The team pulled off a perfect 8-0 record for the week outscoring their opponents 40 - 10. Aubrey Chavez hit .525 for the week earning her the team tournament Offensive MVP and Angelica Tello had the hot hand on the mound earning her the team tournament Defensive MVP. AZ Hotshots 16u - Captain completes roster for 2018 / 2019 season.
The team held try outs during the early part of August and we are please to announce the following roster additions: Aubrey Chavez - 3B / SS, Amyah Boostedt - SS / 2nd / P, Brooklyn Flores - C / IF, Jadyn Gilley - IF, Kaytlin Leyvas - OF / C, Angelina Sanchez - OF, Angelica Tello - Pitcher / 1B.

AZ Hotshots 14u - Captain finishes its 2016/2017 with a national ranking of #44.
The team had a very aggressive travel schedule and had the opportunity to play some of the best teams in the nation. They competed well in TCS Sparkler Power Pool, TC / USA Elite Nationals and PGF Platinum with notable victories against ACES - Creamer, Corona Angels - Humphries, Corona Angels - Perez, Coronal Angels - Bertillon/Zavala, ACES Express Prospects, Firecrackers TJ and the 2017 PGF National Champions Texas Dirt Divas.
